The German automotive industry as the driver of a carbon neutral mobility of the future in Europe

With the 'Fit for 55' package, the European Commission has set forth ambitious climate reduction targets in order to make Europe the first carbon neutral continent by 2050 at the latest. The German automotive industry supports this goal. In fact, OEMs and suppliers are the drivers of carbon neutral mobility in Europa, with carbon-neutral electric cars, innovations in digitization, and sustainable solutions for production. But in order to tap the full potential of our innovational strength, we quickly need appropriate regulatory conditions, such as the rapid buildup of charging infrastructure and additional measures.
